Our clinical approach draws on established evidence-based modalities — cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing among them — and every service we deliver is trauma-informed. We assume the people we serve arrive with histories, and we work in a way that does not add to them.

Professional mental health crisis services from Progressive Community Services, LLC.

Progressive Community Services, LLC (PCS) is the clinical arm of the Progressive family of organizations. Where Progressive Community Outreach works upstream — mentoring youth and coaching parents long before a crisis takes hold — PCS is built for the moment when a situation cannot wait.

We provide professional mental health services around the clock, with a response model designed for a simple reality: crises do not schedule themselves. Nights, weekends, holidays. Someone trained answers.

PCS takes pride in serving every individual who comes to us with quality care — without exception, and without delay.

When to Reach Out

A mental health crisis is any moment when a person's usual ability to cope is overwhelmed — by grief, trauma, substance use, escalating symptoms, or the accumulated weight of circumstances that finally stopped being manageable.

Left unaddressed, that moment can escalate into hospitalization, arrest, or worse. Addressed quickly and skillfully, it can become a turning point. You do not need to be certain it qualifies as a crisis before you call. That is our job to sort out, not yours.
What Happens When You Contact Us

-
You reach a person, not a queue. A trained staff member takes your call and begins assessing the situation immediately.
-
We assess safety first. Risk to self, risk to others, medical need, and the immediate environment — before anything else is discussed.
-
We stabilize. On-site or telehealth intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning with the individual and the people around them.
-
We connect. Referral and a warm handoff to the right level of ongoing care, whether that is inside our organization or elsewhere in the community.
-
We follow up. A crisis contact should never be the last contact. We check back.
